Landscaper in Belgrave

Belgrave is where the train line ends and Puffing Billy begins. Main Street sits at the end of the Burwood Highway, and around it are streets that climb and twist up the hillsides. Many Belgrave homes sit on smaller blocks than you'd expect for the Hills: steep, close to the neighbours, and often with only a narrow path down the side. That makes careful planning more important than big machinery.

Small, steep and tricky to access

Some Belgrave jobs can't be done with a big excavator, and that's OK. What matters is choosing the right approach:

  • Lower terraced walls instead of one big wall. They're easier to build on a tight site, and they often look better too. More on retaining walls.
  • Compact decks to create a flat outdoor spot off the house.
  • Steps and landings that make a steep yard easy to get around.
  • Low-maintenance gardens. Mulched beds and tough, shade-tolerant plants instead of a lawn that struggles under the trees.

We'll check access when we visit and plan the job around it. Rubbish, green waste and spare soil all leave with us.

Rain on a Belgrave slope runs downhill fast, through your yard and your neighbour's. Getting drainage right behind walls and along paths protects the work and keeps everyone happy. We plan it from the start.
